This is the Cascade Rail Foundation archive website. Cascade Rail Foundation is dedicated to sustaining the legacy of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad (Milwaukee Road) in Washington.
With the railroad long gone from the state, part of our mission is to ensure that people have ways to discover and learn more about the Milwaukee Road, so the unique history of the railroad here does not disappear.
This archive website is one of the ways we work to make the history of the Milwaukee Road in Washington available for people to discover and to help them understand the railroad's social, economic, and technological importance in the state.
